Registration is not required to attend this free event but it is required to secure a spot to participate in the planting of the new garden as there are a limited number of pots. A Liability Waiver is also collected during the registration process for those attendees who will be working in the garden.

    2. Can I still participate if I have physical limitations?
Absolutely! We welcome everyone to be part of the event. Garden work can involve tasks like digging, lifting, or bending, but volunteer farmers can assist where needed. Whatever your ability, there’s a meaningful way to contribute.

    3. Do I need to bring anything?
We’ll provide most of the supplies, but you’re welcome to bring gloves, a hat, water bottle, and sunscreen to stay comfortable.

    4. Can kids join the event?
Yes! This is a family-friendly event with activities for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

    5. What is the plant swap, and how does it work?
The plant swap is a chance to trade plants, cuttings, or seeds with other gardeners. Please only bring healthy, pest-free plants in containers or bags that are clearly labeled. Edible plants (fruits and vegetables) are preferred but ornamentals are allowed. No invasive species, please.

    6. Do I need gardening experience to participate?
Not at all! Volunteers of all experience levels are welcome. Our team and guest experts will guide you through each activity.

    7. What happens if it rains?
The event will still take place with light rain. In case of heavy weather, we’ll notify registrants of any changes by email or social media.

    8. How do I sign up to volunteer again in the future?
Follow us on Instagram/Facebook or check our website for upcoming community garden days and sign-up opportunities.

    9. Where will the event take place and is parking available?
The garden is located at Hawaii Kai Towne Center near center stage with free parking available.
